Better Days began as a collection of songs written to stand on their own with nothing more than a piano and a voice. Once they made it into the studio, those same songs grew into the piano rock recordings you hear on this album without losing the heart they started with. Along the way, I revisited Petunia and Tell Me the Truth, two songs Daniel and I had always hoped to record again. Together, they make up an album that feels both deeply personal and unmistakably loud.
